I absolutely love this place we stopped by to look around in town and we just saw this restaurant and it is really good I love the food they have chicken to die for and sweet potatoes you would think we're carrots but they're sweet potatoes!!! Banana pudding and sweet potato souffle to go... I am in heaven
This spot is GREAT!! Food/soul food delicious. We had fried chicken, collard greens, cabbages, mac n cheese, green beans, pan fried corn bread. The special is meat and 2 sides, this will get you a drink (tea or lemonade) and dessert. Yall the peach cobbler was soooo good. Please waste the gas to come and enjoy this soul food. There are more food items to choose this just what me and my husband ordered.
Day before yesterday, I visited this place for the first time. I'm here to say hands down 100%. It was raining cats and dogs, and by rights, they were already closed for the day. But they were very kind and invited us in. Even though they were closed cleaning up to go home to their own family. We got hot, fresh food. The food was amazing. The staff was very sweet and helpful. Mrs Jackson, I have a lot of respect for what you do . So please keep doing what you're doing because it's working. For a plate of fried chicken, cream corn, mac cheese, sweet potato souffle, your choice of dessert banana pudding or peach cobbler and a drink for like 15.00. It's so worth it. I'm going back again and again
I was reared in Sylvester, but now live in NC. Getting dinner from Jackson's is something I look forward to each time I travel home. This Easter weekend, I arrived to discover to my dismay that Jackson's was closed on Saturday and Sunday. Since I was heading back to Charlotte early on Tuesday, Monday was my one chance pick up an order. I didn't realize 4pm was the restaurant's closing time and almost missed the long-awaited opportunity to get hometown soul food this trip. But I did (barely) make it due to the kindness of the Jackson's staff. Tonight will be Bon Appetit....Sylvester, Ga style!!! So Thankful, Barbara Sadler Kerry
Wow, my husband and I were traveling from Macon, GA to Lamont,FL and needed dinner. We stopped here and were so VERY PLEASED. We got 3 meals. 1) Fried chicken breast with yams, macaroni and cheese and broccoli casserole with peach cobbler and and Arnold Palmer. 2) Neck bones with macaroni and cheese, broccoli casserole and stuffing with peach cobbler and Fanta Strawberry. 3) Turkey Wings with macaroni and cheese, string beans and stuffing with peach cobbler and an Arnold Palmer. It was so much food and absolutely delicious. If we are ever passing through again, we will most certainly return again.
I gave 5 stars because not only is the food hot and absolutely wonderful but the staff was awesome and I met some of my family there for the first time. First time going and definitely won't be my last. Good southern soul food with a taste of family in it. ...
The food and service was great. They have a variety of soul food choices: baked, fried, and grilled chicken; ox tails, neck bones; pigs feet; collards, cabbage, mac and cheese, rice sweet potatoe souffle, black eyed peas, and so much more!!! You gotta try if you're in the neighborhood.
Food for the soul for sure! Great spot for the best southern staples.
